First of all I apologize for leaving my journal un-updated for so long, I have just been so busy! Hopefully once I am done freaking out over all the work I have to do this semester I will be able to update more often.

Anyway, so about 45 minutes ago my Wacom tablet decided to die. I am pretty devastated, especially since I have a big project due by the end of the semester (December 18th) that will require it, so I need a new one ASAP. I bought my tablet from a friend about 4 years ago, and I'm not sure how long she had it before I bought it, but I think it's a Graphire 4 which they don't make anymore.

Wacom sells a lot of different tablets now and I have never had to actually shop for one before, so I have no idea which one to look at buying. Can anyone recommend a good model that is not too terribly expensive, but will work at least as well as my old one? It seems like all of the new ones have touch pads and buttons and all kinds of confusing things, so I really have no idea which one would be best for me. I'm obviously not a professional, but I will have to use it to draw things for my computer art classes. I just need a pressure sensitive tablet that I can use for artistic purposes. I figured that DA would be the best place to ask for advice since I am among artists, so thank you all in advance for your help! I am going to go and try not to worry too much now.

Athfest next week, huzzah! Yep, next week I'll be heading down to Athens Georgia again, hometown of R.E.M., The B-52's, The Apples in Stereo, Pylon, The Indigo Girls, The Modern Skirts, Of Montreal and countless others. I'll be spending 6 days with my buddies Tony, Jordan, and Ziona seeing the sights, listening to a lot of great music, and probably just acting like a ridiculous bunch of loonies. xD I will also be attempting not to embarrass myself by tripping over things, running into poles, getting run over by a bus, or making an utter fool of myself in any other way possible just from the sheer excitement... because you know, that's what I'm best at. This is all of course providing that I survive the 12-14 hour car ride!

I'm praying that my new camera memory card gets here before I leave because I want to get a ton of pictures and videos while I'm there to share with you all! I'll hopefully also have a few pictures of the gifts I'm making for my friends, but those aren't going up until after the trip... I'm not spoiling their surprises. Cheers! I'll probably post a really long entry after I get back.

Hey guys!

So I have been thinking about this for a while now. I need a decent chunk of change yet to go to Athens, GA again for Athfest this year, so I am considering taking commissions for small painted super sculpey sculptures and charms. I'm going to post some examples of what I can do, I'd just like to know if anyone would be interested and maybe what they'd be willing to pay? I have no idea what to charge... I can make basically any animal and would be willing to do fursonas and the like, even for the tiny charms; I like working small. The sculptures are no more than 3 inches high and 4 /12 inches long. The little charm I made is sitting next to a dime, so you should be able to get a relative size from there. They are made with super sculpey over a tin foil frame and painted with acrylics, sculptures have glass bead eyes.
